Paramahansa Yogananda signed copy of his book ''Whispers From Eternity'', with a beautiful inscription to his friend. Los Angeles: Self-Realization Publishing House, 1944 fourth edition. Called the ''Father of Yoga in the West'', Yogananda brought the Indian teachings of yoga and spirituality to the United States through his organization, the Self-Realization Fellowship. His lengthy inscription in blue fountain pen on the front free endpaper reads in part, ''...on her birthday with unceasing blessings & best wishes that your birth on earth be worthwhile to yourself and all. / Paramahansa Yogananda / Commingle your whispers with these of mine and offer them in the temple of Silence and activity, until you can hear His whispers in the dance of rhythm in your life. / P.Y. / July 18th 1946 L.A.''
