Map of California Harbors from 1852, at the height of the California Gold Rush. Washington: U.S. Coast Survey, 1852. Titled ''Santa Cruz, San Simeon, Coxo and San Luis Obispo'', engraved map shows four harbors with nautical charts, including sailing directions and soundings in fathoms. Map by A.D. Bache is scale 1:20,000 for Santa Cruz and San Simeon, and 1:40,000 for Coxo and San Luis Obispo. Sheet measures 15.75'' x 18.5''. Trimmed at top, folds, toning, and light creasing. Overall very good condition.
