General George Custer signed envelope, as addressed to his wife ''Mrs Genl Custer''. The legendary General writes to his wife in Monroe, Michigan, postmarked from New York on 6 May. Envelope measures 5'' x 3.125'' with blind-embossing of Fifth Avenue Hotel at upper left. Uneven right edge, and some dampstaining. Good plus condition.
