Theodore Roosevelt sculpture in bas-relief by sculptor James Earle Fraser, designer of the Indian Head nickel. Original bronze plaque from 1920 shows Roosevelt in profile with his quote underneath, ''Aggressive fighting for the right is the noblest sport the world affords''. Also in relief at top is ''Fraser'' with 1920 copyright date. On verso is number ''C1'', paper label for the Decorative Arts League of New York, the ''DecArts'' mark, and a metal cord for hanging. Plaque weighs approximately 8 lbs, 2 oz. and measures 10'' x 12.875''. Near fine condition.
