Ernest Hemingway signed ''A Farewell to Arms'', inscribed on the front pastedown by Hemingway to his friends, ''To Florence and Ray Lange / best always repeat always, / Ernest Hemingway.'' New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, later edition. Bound in orange-red boards with title stamped in gilt to front board. Measures 5.625'' x 8.5''. Mild sunning to spine, and light shelf wear. Some toning to endpapers with dedication by recipient Ray Lange on front free endpaper. Overall very good condition housed in black leather jacket. An attractive example of Hemingway's classic, nicely signed by him.
