In this book, Bernstein analyses different types of music, writing that not only is this a ''critical moment in the history of music'', but it's also a ''scary moment...And music will survive.'' Signed by the Academy Award winning conductor on the front free endpaper. Book measures 6.75'' x 9.5''. Housed in original dust jacket, which has some chipping, in very good plus condition. Book itself, bound in scarlet boards, is near fine.
