Silk handkerchief circa 1945 owned by the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson, embroidered with her first name ''Wallis'' in brown satin. Pale peach handkerchief measures approximately 21.5'' square, folded to a size of approximately 5.5'' square. Tears to the fabric near the embroidery, though not very noticeable as folded, otherwise very good condition. Part of lot 2146 from the 1997 Sotheby's sale of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's personal property.
