Nylon handkerchief circa 1945 owned by the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson in ''Wallis blue'', her signature color of pale blue that reportedly matched her eye color. Handkerchief measures approximately 16.5'' square, folded to a size of approximately 6'' x 4.5''. With a hand-sewn tag on the edge reading ''W/A/'' and then handwritten, ''W/686''. Near fine condition. Part of lot 2146 from the 1997 Sotheby's sale of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's personal property, with the original Sotheby's lotting tag.
