Berenice Abbott silver gelatin print of ''Leaf, Supersight'', circa early 1940s when Abbott was taking precise and close-up photos deemed Supersight. Semi-glossy photo measures 15.125'' x 19.25'', with Abbott's Maine address stamp to verso. A few spots of discoloration and creasing throughout, as well as closed 1.5'' tear at bottom edge. Overall in fair to good condition. Acquired by John Robert Tennant Sr., photographer for the Smithsonian's National Gallery of Art, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and then by descent to consignor.
