Eighteen pages of original ''Sugar and Spike'' comic art hand-drawn by creator Sheldon Mayer, and signed by him throughout. Loved by fans during its run from 1956-1971, ''Sugar and Spike'' features the antics of two toddlers who communicate with each other in baby-talk, a secret language indecipherable to adults. Pages are from the early issue #7, the April-May 1957 book featuring the stories ''Mud Mud Mud!'' (4 of 6 pages), ''The Magic Book'' (3 of 6 pages), ''First Haircut'' (3 of 4 pages), ''Pint-Size Pin-Ups'' (1 page complete), ''The Don't-Touch Thing'' (1 page complete), and ''Three Wheel Driver'' (6 pages complete). Large pages of original artwork by Mayer each measure approximately 12.5'' x 19.5'' on thick illustration paper, most with Mayer's stamp on verso, and also with DC Comics header at top. Two additional copied pages from the book are included, ''Letters From Our Readers'' and ''Shorty''. Some buckling and light wear to pages, overall in very good condition. From the Sheldon Mayer estate.
