Martin Van Buren autograph letter signed and additional free franked signature on integral address leaf. From his home in Lindenwald, Van Buren writes a short letter to an E.H. Drury in Vermont on 29 January 1844, signed ''M Van Buren''. Single letter measures 8'' x 9.75'' on bifolium stationery, with the second leaf acting as address panel, again signed ''Free / M Van Buren''. With red wax seal and postmark of 30 January. Folds, light chipping, hole from wax seal and small bit of foxing. Overall very good condition.
