John Glenn signed copy of the Mercury-Atlas 6 report, titled ''Results of the First United States Manned Orbital Space Flight / February 20, 1962''. Glenn was, of course, the single crewman aboard Friendship 7 when it orbited the Earth for the first time during MA-6, an important milestone in the Space Race, and authored much of the content of this book, published in 1962. Softcover report bound in blue covers measures 7.875'' x 10.25'', previously owned by astronomer Everett Hurlburt, whose stamp appears on the inside front cover; Hurlburt was the Director of the Radio Astronomy Program of The National Science Foundation. Signed by Glenn on the cover, ''To Phil - / John Glenn''. Sunning to spine, otherwise near fine condition.
