Coffee/tea cup and saucer made for the Ronald Reagan White House by china makers Robert C. Floyd. Design features a gilt Presidential seal on the front of the cup, with both pieces adorned in gilt, burgundy and navy. This is the White House china service used by the Reagans for everyday meals and for important luncheons, such as that with Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Cup measures 4'' in diameter including handle, and 2.125'' high. Saucer measures 5.625'' in diameter. Manufacturers stamp in gilt reads upon the undersides of each, ''White House Service / by Robert C. Floyd / Fitz and Floyd, Inc. / Fine China / 1983''. Cup has a chip near the handle, good condition.
