Attractive ship's papers signed by Andrew Jackson as President, dated 6 July 1833. Jackson authorizes the ship Gold Hunter, commanded by an individual named Jethro Coffin, to pass unimpeded in foreign waters. Boldly signed ''Andrew Jackson''. With scalloped top edge, found on ship's documents to resemble waves, and intact red wax-based paper seal. Document measures 10.75'' x 15'', mounted to board and with irregular trimming to left and bottom edges. Very good condition.
