Undated, but written on 13 August 1961 based on content, short letter to his friend Paul Semonin reads in full, ''I have staved off the dogs - at least till the end of Sept & maybe longer - only because I had the good sense & birthday $ to get ahead on my rent ---> Here is $8.00 - BIWI - $5 [?] Your reader's commission on 'Easy Come, Easy Go', sold today to Rogue for $250. I am zeroing in - let mine enemies beware. You sound woebegone - hurry over & we will shoot & drink & flatter each other. H''. Two page letter on 6'' x 4'' sheet. Toning, folds and light discoloration at bottom of second page. Overall very good condition.
