Hunter S. Thompson autograph letter signed, composed upon a postcard dated 29 March and postmarked 30 March 1967. Thompson writes to his friend Paul Semonin about a new dwelling for himself in Woody Creek Colorado. Letter reads in part, ''Sambo / Checked the W.C. hutch today at $140 per with a big basement - with fireplace. It's available if nothing else shows up, so at least you'll have a dwelling when you arrive. The various problems - car, rent, etc. will have to be worked out on the scene, as it were. But the key issue is a roof - & unless you hear different, you'll have one to operate from...H''. Postcard measures 5.5'' x 3.25''. Light wear, else near fine.
