Winston Churchill signed copy of ''The Hinge of Fate''. New York: Houghton Mifflin Co. & Riverside Press, 1950. Churchill inscribes the front free endpaper in blue ink, ''To / Sylvia / from / Winston / 1951''. ''Hinge of Fate'' is Churchill's fourth volume in his acclaimed ''The Second World War'' series that won him the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953. Volume measures 6'' x 8.75'', in very good condition, lightly worn but sturdy, though lacking pages 269-300, as noted in pencil on the front free endpaper. Missing pages seem to never have been bound in the book, as no tearing is present. Part of dust jacket is torn along spine, but present.
