Autograph letter signed by vaudeville and film star Bill ''Bojangles'' Robinson. On Robinson's stationery from his home in Harlem, letter dated 18 August 1941 reads, ''Dear Capt. Owings / I regret I've been so long in returning the photos as I promised - But, better late than never. As the old saying goes - Please see that the Boys get these - And tell them I really enjoyed my short stay with them and hope I can do it again some time. Thanks for other photo you sent me. With kindest regards...Bill Robinson''. Includes typed military memo from the 372nd Infantry in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Letter measures 7.5'' x 10''. Staple marks and light creasing. Very good.
