Stan Laurel typed letter signed, written upon his personal letterhead on 9 September 1960, but mis-dated by a few days based on the accompanying mailing envelope, which is postmarked 6 September 1960. Laurel writes to a fan Bill Brown, who would become a regular pen-pal with Laurel, and even a friend, visiting the comedian in Los Angeles. Letter reads in part, ''...With pleasure I am enclosing you a picture [not present] of my dear late partner & I - thank you for the request. / Am happy to know the L&H films have afforded you so much pleasure thru' the years...[signed] Stan Laurel''. Letter measures 8'' x 10''. Folds and a few abrasion spots where photo was attached to letter. Very good condition, with original envelope.
