Marquis de Lafayette autograph note signed, in full, ''Here is the portrait of an affectionate, grateful, and respectful friend / Lafayette''. Note is above a signed note by Lafayette's son, Georges Washington de La Fayette, when father and son toured America together in 1824-25. Page measures 7.5'' x 11.75'', mounted to a slightly larger sheet. Ink spot to part of note, and some glue showthrough, overall good condition.
