Unmistakably Pablo Picasso terre de faience (earthenware) plaque ''Le Dejeuner Sur L'herbe'' (''Lunch on the Grass'') created at the famed Madoura pottery studio in the south of France, where Picasso collaborated the last 25 years of his life. Painted 24'' x 20'' plaque is Picasso's own artist proof, apart from the very limited edition of 50 made by Picasso in his quintessential style in 1964. Inscribed ''Edition Editeur'', with both the Empreinte Originale de Picasso and Madoura stamps. Measures 24'' x 20''. In very good plus condition with a few minute chips along verso of right edge. Number 517 in Alan Ramie's ''Picasso, Catalogue of the Edited Ceramic Works, 1947-1971''.
