Large, bold signature by Margaret Sanger upon the front free endpaper of her book, ''My Fight for Birth Control''. New York: Farrar & Rinehart, 1931. As a nurse in New York City early in her career, Sanger became convinced that birth control was necessary for social justice and pioneered its use during the early 20th century, despite breaking federal anti-obscenity laws and being exiled to England by doing so. In 1966, Sanger passed away after achieving her life-long dream a year earlier with the Supreme Court case Griswold v. Connecticut, which legalized birth control in the United States. Book measures 6'' x 8.75''. Some discoloration and scuffing to boards, and toning to interior. Overall in good to very good condition. Rare as signed by Sanger.
