Marie Curie signed ''Institut du Radium'' certificate, no. 580, scarce as from her own lab and not the more commonly seen Faculty of Sciences of Paris. Signed ''M. Curie'' as Director of the Laboratory, Curie approves the results of an experiment regarding radiation emitted by an isotope of radium. Document in French is dated 23 February 1934, shortly before Curie's passing which was caused from radiation exposure over the course of her life. Handwritten annotations to the document completed in the hand of her assistant. Document measures 8.25'' x 12.25''. Light soiling and creasing, overall in very good condition. Rare signed document concerning radiation by the twice-awarded Nobel Prize winner.
