Orville Wright autograph note signed, dated 12 April 1946, during the time that Wright was deciding where the Kitty Hawk bi-plane would be permanently displayed. Here, he writes to aviation reporter Earl Findley upon a copy of a letter to General Carl Spaatz, who Wright was trying to avoid, as he felt that Spaatz might be conspiring to convince him to house the Kitty Hawk at the new Army Air Forces Museum in Cleveland. Note reads in full, ''Dear Earl: The above will inform you as to the present status of arrangements with Gen. Spaatz. I enjoyed your letter describing your trip to California. I hope to see you on the 25th. Sincerely Orville''. Letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Folds and paper clip impression, otherwise near fine.
