Former Nazi, Albert Speer typed letter signed, dated 5 December 1975, ten years after serving his sentence for war crimes. He writes in German to an American acquaintance, Elaine Lincoln, ''...I was especially moved and happy that you acknowledge the forces that we are subordinated to and that we have to succumb to. In spring you will read in my next book about my 20 years of imprisonment in Spandau, which will maybe affirm you in your direction. All the best from the heart, [signed] Albert Speer''. Folded document on Speer's personal letterhead measures 6'' x 8.25'', in near fine condition. Envelope and full translation included.
