Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz twice signed program from a dinner given in his honor by the City of New York in 1945. The guest of honor signs the front cover ''C.W. Nimitz'', and his second autograph beneath the flag graphic reads: ''Aloha to Mrs. McCarthy, CW Nimitz''. Other notables who signed include ''John D. Rockefeller, Jr.'', ''Thomas Dewey'', ''Sgt. William G. Harrell'' and more. An unsigned copy of the program is included. 7pp. softcover programs are bound with blue and orange ribbon and measure 9.25'' x 12''. Light staining and creasing, else near fine.
