At this time, Napoleon's forces were retreating from Russia, which prompted a coalition of nations to form against him, ultimately forcing him to abdicate in 1814. Napoleon signs a document from the Minister of War, regarding the status of military exercises in ''La Lippe'', a fort on the Portugal-Spanish border. Document measures 8'' x 11.25''. Some toning and light soiling, overall very good condition.
