George Custer signed envelope, made out in Custer's hand to his wife ''Mrs. G.A. Custer''. Envelope was sent to his wife Libbie in Monroe, Michigan, with original 3-cent stamp affixed. Postmark bears the city and date of October 30. Envelope measures 5.25'' x 3.25'' with toning, uneven tearing to left edge from opening, and small paper loss to lower right. Very good.
