Gary Cooper signs a contract, dated 3 January 1958, to appear in a film based on the novel, "The Border Jumpers." The Western was released as "Man of the West" in 1958. Cooper, who starred as "Link Jones," signs "Gary Cooper" on page 12 of the contract. Terms of the contract include "…compensation in the sum of $200,000.00 payable during the production of said photoplay…" for Cooper's "services as star". Pages 2-12 of the typed document are affixed to a 30" x 17" backing. Light toning and 1" tear to page 11. Overall very good.
