J. Edgar Hoover signs a typed letter on FBI letterhead, dated 2 August 1953. The FBI Director congratulates Mary Cunningham in New York City on her 10th anniversary with the Bureau. Hoover writes, ''...I wish to take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations...it is the loyalty, devotion and interest of our employees to the Bureau and its programs that really count...[signed] J. Edgar Hoover''. Light creasing to 8'' x 10.5'' letter; very good condition.
