First printing copy of Dr. Seuss' ''The Cat in the Hat'' with first printing dust jacket. Random House: 1957. Book and jacket meet all first printing requirements. Dust jacket contains chipping to top and bottom edges, and is missing a small portion of the lower front; jacket also shows scattered soiling, creasing and wear, in good condition. Edges of book are slightly bumped, previous owner's gift inscription to interior page and small bookstore bookplate to lower right corner of front free endpaper. Very good condition.
