President Theodore Roosevelt and First Lady Edith Roosevelt official invitation to a dinner held at the White House on the evening of 6 December 1905. Invitation is accompanied by its original envelope and has a gilt embossed Presidential seal at top. Invitation reads in full, ''The President and Mrs. Roosevelt request the pleasure of the company of Captain & Mrs. Henry at dinner on Wednesday evening December Sixth at 8 o'clock / 1905.'' White House envelope has the handwritten address of the recipients. Also included is a typed letter signed by Roosevelt's secretary inviting the Henry's to an additional dinner later that year. Invitation card measures 5.5'' x 4.75''. Very good.
