President Richard Nixon typed letter signed to Congressman Bill Young thanking him for his help in the 1972 presidential primary in Florida. Dated 20 March 1972, letter was likely written while the Watergate break-in was being planned. Reads in part: ''...tell you how much I have appreciated your splendid efforts in the Florida primary campaign. Your assistance was invaluable and your leadership, I believe, proved decisive in the end...'' Signed ''RN'' in black ink on White House letterhead. Single page measures 6.75'' x 8.75''. Near fine.
