Joachim Murat letter signed ''Joachim''. Letter, written in a secretarial hand, is dated 1807, when Murat was Grand Duke of Berg, one year before his reign as King of Naples. Written in French, letter to Murat's cousin, mentions Murat's brother-in-law Napoleon Bonaparte, under whom Murat served as Marshal, and inquires about sick leave for General Margaron. Single-page letter measures 7.25'' x 4.25''. Delicate, with minor toning on left side, other older notations and a modern pencil notation to lower right, else near fine.
