Parks' uninscribed signature appears opposite the title page of this first edition, published in 1994 to honor the 40th anniversary of Parks' courageous act that ignited the American civil rights movement. Comes with two letters from original owner who received the book as a gift for his help with the Rosa L. Parks Museum and Library ceremony. First letter is from the president of Troy State University and second is from the executive director of the Raymond & Rosa Parks Institute for Self Development in Detroit. Book measures 5.75'' x 6.75''. Minor wear to dustjacket and cover. Near fine condition.
