Auguste Rodin postcard signed, ''Rodin'' in black on the lower right. Postcard bears a photo of his sculpture, ''Cariatide Carrying a Stone,'' which was on exhibit in 1886 in the Gallery Georges Petit and currently resides in the Rodin Museum in Paris. Rodin ushered in a new era of realism in sculpture and was especially celebrated for his talent with clay. Measures 3.5'' x 5.5''. Matted attractively beside a photo of Rodin to an overall size of 14'' x 11''. Mounting with tape to verso and pencil notation to verso, else near fine.
