Early 20th century Vandyk photograph of David Lloyd George and a young Edward, Prince of Wales, signed ''D Lloyd George'' by the Prime Minister. The two men look quite dapper in their striped pants and long black blazers as they hold their lit cigars. Carl Vandyk was a successful London photographer, famous for his images of the Royal Family. Photo is matted to photographer mat which features an embossed heraldic Prince of Wales badge and ''C. Vandyk Ltd. / 44 Buckingham Palace Rd. S.W. / By Appointment to / H.R.H. The Prince of Wales''. Photo measures 8.5'' x 10.5'', mat measures 9.25'' 12.5''. Light scratching to photo and spotting to mat. Very good condition.
