Lyndon B. Johnson signed copy of ''The Professional.'' Houghton Mifflin Company: Boston: 1964, first edition, fourth printing. LBJ inscribes the fly-leaf: ''To H. Thomas Leahy - with best wishes, Lyndon B. Johnson''. Included in the lot is a typed letter from John M. Bailey, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, endorsing the signed book and Johnson's candidacy for election in 1964. Bound in red-orange cloth boards with gilt lettering and original dustjacket. Measures 5.75'' x 8.5''. Book is near fine. Dust jacket is very good with a vertical tear at top edge.
