Olympic relay torch used in the 1992 Summer Olympics. The Torch Relay tradition began in 1928, and transports a spark from the parent flame in Olympia, Greece to the host city in time for the opening ceremonies, in this case Barcelona. Designed by Andre Ricard, metal torch bears the Barcelona logo with the Olympic rings and reads, ''XXV OLIMPIADA BARCELONA 1992''. Measures 26'' and weighs 2 lbs. 3 oz. Plastic above handle is slightly detached and padded handle has wear from use, overall very good condition.
