RIAA award for selling 1,000,000+ copies of ''Double Fantasy'' by John Lennon & Yoko Ono. Released in 1980 through Geffen, it was the last studio album Lennon would ever release, as he was murdered just three weeks later. The album would later win ''Album of the Year'' at the 1981 Grammy's. Framed presentation includes platinum record and plaque reading, ''PRESENTED TO STERLING SOUND TO COMMEMORATE THE SALE OF MORE THAN 1,000,000 COPIES OF THE GEFFEN RECORDS LONG-PLAYING RECORD ALBUM / 'DOUBLE FANTASY'''. Frame measures 17'' x 21''. Some scratching to glass and wear to frame, otherwise near fine. From the estate of George Marino, a Grammy Award-winning sound mastering engineer.
