Franklin Library edition of "The Naked and the Dead" signed by author Norman Mailer. Franklin Library: Franklin Center, PA: 1979. The author signs on the fly-leaf: "Norman Mailer". He reflects in the introduction: "…It's as if one's early innocence, once charged and stimulated by…powerful experiences…is able to penetrate…common experience…" The 683pp. novel, bound in burgundy leather with gilt lettering and edges, shows minor fading to pastedown and front free endpaper and light foxing to edges. Overall very good.
