Sailing poster from the 1972 Summer Olympics, held in Munich, Germany. Poster depicts multiple sailboats at sea, with the Olympic rings and blue solar logo (Bright Sun) framed by the words ''Kiel / 1972'' (where the sailing events were held). Olga Korbut was the star gymnast, Mark Spitz set a world record winning 7 gold medals, and the U.S. men's basketball team refused their silver medals after a controversial loss to the Soviet Union. Poster measures 33'' x 46''. Archivally repaired tears, some creasing and strips of velco on back. Overall in good condition but with no loss of paper and would frame nicely.
