Commemorative cover signed by the first two people to climb Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. First day cover was officially issued by the Kingdom of Nepal celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the legendary climb, with two Nepalese stamps affixed. Accompanied by the limited edition silver coin. Each climber signs underneath the coin, which is affixed to the cover and housed in a navy blue wallet style cover with button clasp. Also includes a special commentary insert with details about the climb. Letter was certified by the Nepalese government on 1 June 1978, and also features an LOA from the Franklin Mint. Cover measures 8'' x 4.5'', with the coin measuring 1'' in diameter. Near fine.
