WWII Luftwaffe rare photograph album of Kampfgeschwader, Unit e8. Album comprises 189 black and white snapshots of German air power that was an essential component of Hitler's Blitzkrieg strategy. Clear captions for each photo, neatly handwritten in German. Photos chronicle winter and summer activities of enlisted men on and off duty including poses at the Eiffel Tower, airplanes on the airfield, Nazi flags flying, air crew funerals in field, a prisoner held to the ground, women swimming and more. Wood covered album with gray cloth binding measures 12.75'' x 9.25''. Cream paper has some warping and bending at paper edges, photos are near fine. Photos measure 3.75'' x 2.75'' or 2.75'' x 3.75''.
