Scarce first edition, first printing, hardcover octavo book in black cloth with printed gilt label on front cover and spine; fore edge untrimmed. One of only 5,090 copies issued in the first run, bearing the first-issue ''stoppped'' on page 181. Minor wear to rear board and spine title. Pages 180 and 181 are discolored, though the rest of the interior has only minimal foxing. Discreet writing on front free endpaper. Measures 5.25'' x 8.75''. Very good condition.
