Louis XVI document signed as King of France, dated 16 August 1790. Signed ''Louis'' in bold black ink, document in old French features royal emblem along left edge. Three years after Louis signed this document, he was sent to the guillotine as the only King of France ever to be executed. Document measures 9.75'' x 12.5''. Toning, creasing and some soiling, but overall in very good condition given age.
