Four original and one-of-a-kind radiographs, x-rayed just days before the famed Apollo 11 mission by Jerry Peterson, the Quality Assurance Senior Preflight Inspector for Rockwell International from 1966-70. Radiographs are of items worn by Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin when they landed on the moon; these items were actually left on the moon, as it was feared they would become contaminated by chemicals from the moon's surface. All of the radiographs are dated 7 July 1969, nine days before the Apollo 11 launch. Set of four radiographs include: (1) one depicting the boots worn by Neil Armstrong when he landed on the moon; (2) one depicting the chest pack worn by Neil Armstrong during the moon landing; (3) one depicting the gloves Neil Armstrong wore when he landed on the moon; (4) one depicting the boots worn by Buzz Aldrin when he landed on the moon. Radiographs are carefully housed in their original large NASA booklet, and contain a pair of white cloth gloves for handling. All radiographs are on the original thick black translucent radiographic film, and measure 14'' x 17''. Booklet measures 14.75'' x 18''. Also included is the manila envelope which originally housed them, as well as a 3pp. copy of the Space division Skywriter publication from 11 July 1969, which contains articles written in anticipation of the groundbreaking launch. Newspaper measures 11'' x 16''. Radiographs are in near fine condition. With a COA by Jerry Peterson.
