Large military appointment signed by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. Document appoints one Ammon A. Augur as Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry, on 6 July 1906. The energetic 26th President of the United States elegantly signs his name to lower right, ''Theodore Roosevelt''. Future President William Howard Taft additionally signs, and document features the blue War Department seal. Measures 21'' x 16''. Some fading to signature and creasing to top. Very good condition.
