Letter on his personal stationery to Bruce Becker in Salinas, California is dated 9 February 1993 and reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Becker: Thank you for your letter of January 28th. Your letter poses a most difficult problem to answer. So much depends on the individual involved whether he can find an outlet for his creative artistry. As the years go by it does become more and more difficult to get one's foot in the door, so to speak. But I still firmly believe that if one wants to do something badly enough one will find a way to make it mature into the fulfilment [sic] of one's desire. The obstacles along the path are not always easy to surmount but many times persistence does pay off. However, in todays [sic] climate of enormous competition it would be wise to have a few alternatives to fall back on. Hopefully this will be of some help. Yours sincerely, [signed] Ray Harryhausen''.
