''The New York Times,'' dated 9 August 1945, reporting on the dropping of the second atomic bomb. ''Atom Bomb Dropped on Nagasaki'' shares the top news with Russia declaring war on Japan. Printed two days after the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, other headlines include ''Hiroshima in Ruins With 'Uncountable' Dead'' and ''385 B-29's Smash 4 Targets in Japan''. The 38pp. newspaper, measuring 16.5'' x 22.5'', shows moderate toning and chipping at left bound edges. Very good condition.
